So, now I suppose you are thinking that it's about time for the boring post. Not just a boring post but the boring post. Every time you find a blog or a book series that you absolutely, positively adore, the second or third post or book just lets you down. Fear not, my trusty reader! I know this pain. I will not do the boring post. No, no, no. I'm not going to sprinkle some a boring blog posts in there either. Now is the time for my most definitely not boring blog post.
Our latest project from the wonderful Mrs. Meyer was to create a 2D project. It could be anything as simple as a drawing with colored pencils to something as complicated as creating a picture out of magazine clippings. I chose to do photography.

I decided that I would take pictures of my fabulous cello. It started off GREAT! I took to Pinterest to find some pose ideas. I found a few that I loved and started my project.
Unfortunately, that idea didn't work out that well. After many attempts at bringing that HUGE stringed instrument in the house and back outside again I decided to try something new. The lighting and positions just weren't working out. After yet another trip to Pinterest I had found a new idea... my Yorkie, Ginger!
As you can see, Ginger was not the best model. She moved around way too much, did not pose in the best spots (hence the strange lighting and cropped out background), and just didn't do what I wanted. So, plan A failed drastically, plan b the same, now off to plan C.
After about an hour or two browsing the one and only Pinterest, I finally found the perfect project! Below is the photo that gave me the inspiration for my project.

I had found the photo that would shape my whole project. The model I used was my cat Scottie Skye (international spy). Okay, I made that last part up. It has a nice ring to it don't you think? It took a long time to find the right backdrop, pose, lighting, etc.. Below is a photo of my finished project.
During this whole project I learned a very important lesson: do not give up on your first (or second) try, ever.
